Subject: Re: Biblio Inventory Upload Issue - Resolved Dear Allen and the Biblio Support Team, Thank you for reaching out about the inventory upload issue. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, and I want to let you know that we have identified and resolved the problem. THE ISSUE: Our automated system was uploading the complete inventory file (approximately 33,000+ records) every 5 minutes, regardless of whether any changes had occurred. This resulted in multiple identical files being uploaded throughout the day, creating unnecessary processing load on your servers. THE SOLUTION: We have completely rewritten our upload script to implement incremental change tracking. The system now: 1. Tracks the last uploaded state of each product (price, quantity, status) 2. Compares current product data with the last uploaded state 3. Only uploads products that have actually changed: - New products that have been added - Products with price changes - Products with quantity/stock changes - Products that need to be deleted (sold/out of stock) 4. Skips uploads entirely when no changes are detected Additionally, we have made full purge/replace uploads optional and configurable (disabled by default). If you would like us to schedule periodic full uploads (e.g., weekly or monthly), we can configure that, but the default behavior is now incremental updates only. WHAT THIS MEANS: - Uploads will only occur when there are actual inventory changes - File sizes will be significantly smaller (only changed products) - Processing time on your end should be much faster - No more duplicate/identical files being uploaded We have tested the changes and the system is now operational. The FTP password reset you mentioned is noted - we will wait for you to re-enable FTP access before resuming uploads. Please let us know when FTP access has been restored, and if you have any questions or need any adjustments to the upload process. We're happy to help ensure everything runs smoothly going forward. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Best regards, Lee AZ Books
